Michael A. Burton has practiced law for over seventeen years and worked as a certified public accountant at Price Waterhouse in Columbus for five years.  Michael and his family have resided in Wapakoneta since 1995.  Michael’s practice focuses on administration of estates; Medicaid and elder law planning; commercial, probate and domestic litigation; and municipal law.  Michael also devotes significant time to real estate, tax, and debt resolution matters.  Michael serves as a board member of the Wapakoneta YMCA and the Wapakoneta Area Economic Development Council, and is a member of the National Academy of Elder
Law Attorneys (NAELA).

Taryn A. Douglas began working as an associate for Jauert & Burton in 2017. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Ohio State University in 2012 and graduated cum laude from the Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law in 2016. During law school, Taryn clerked for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in the Education Section and a law firm in Lima, gaining experience in civil litigation. Her practice focuses on civil litigation; domestic relations law, real estate law, estate and business planning; and municipal law.

Douglas S. Jauert became inactive December 31, 2014 after having practiced law for over forty years. A life-long resident of Wapakoneta, Douglas’ practice focused on estate and elder law planning and administration of trusts; real estate; and business organizations. Among many community activities, Douglas is on the board of The Hauss-Helms Foundation and Home Savings Bank. He is past president and one of the founders of both The Wapakoneta Community Foundation and The Wapakoneta Family YMCA. He previously served for many years as a director of the Telephone Service Company and Precision Strip, Inc.
